Juli 2025: Studienfahrt der 8.- und 9.-Klässler nach Eastboune / Großbritannien

School trip to Eastbourne in Great Britain

On July 6th, 2025, the 8th and 9th grade classes went on a 16-hour trip to Eastbourne. We left by bus at 3:00 a.m. and arrived in Dunkirk at the ferry to Eastbourne at 4:00 p.m. We crossed the English Channel by ferry. At 6:00 p.m., we arrived in Eastbourne, where our host families picked us up.
On July 7th, we did a city rally in Eastbourne and went hiking along the beaches and cliffs.
The next morning, on July 8th, we left very early to go to London. There, we took a boat trip to Tower Bridge and the London Eye. After that, we walked to Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. In every city, we had free time to explore on our own.
On July 9th, we went to Brighton. We visited the Sea Life Centre, which had many different sea animals like jellyfish, sharks, and sea turtles.
On July 10th, we went to Hastings to visit an old smuggler’s cave. It was really impressive to be inside those huge caves and to learn how the smugglers lived. After that, we watched a play called Dinner for One.
At 5:30 p.m., we took the bus back to the ferry and arrived in Essingen at 10:00 a.m. We all enjoyed the trip very much.
